Renewable energy pioneers, SMEC, contract with Fortescue Future Industries to deliver future engineering
Sydney, 7 June 2022: Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) and global engineering firm, SMEC are proud to announce the establishment of an Engineering Partnership Agreement between the two companies. This agreement will enable SMEC to provide engineering services to support FFI in their goal to harness the world’s renewable energy resources to produce green electricity, green hydrogen, green ammonia, and other green industrial products.
SMEC is pleased to announce that they have joined the Qazaq Green Association in Khazakhstan as a member. With global expertise and as a trusted partner for our clients, SMEC has significant experience in renewables projects and enabling sustainability objectives in key infrastructure projects.
SMEC Supporting AeroWest to deliver Western Sydney Airport landside civil package
Delivery of Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport is well underway, and SMEC is pleased to be supporting AeroWest (Seymour Whyte Constructions and BMD Constructions joint venture) as the lead consultant, supported by Northrop and CM+ for the delivery of the landside civil and building works package.
SMEC has commenced work on the detailed design of Australia’s largest road project, North East Link; as the project moves into the delivery phase, led by Spark Consortium who have signed a $11.1 billion Public Private Partnership contract to deliver, finance, operate and maintain the Primary Package.
SMEC South Africa has been appointed by South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) to provide consulting engineering services for the commissioning of the Huguenot Tunnel North Bore and the upgrading of the Huguenot Tunnel South Bore.
